The tornado destroyed many homes and snapped trees in the Holmes area. The tornado attained F2 intensity just outside of the Horizon/Hurst County line, destroying a farm and a well-built house on a county road. A field of crops were completely destroyed, along with more major ground scouring in the rural part of Hurst County. The tornado destroyed a mobile home park just outside of Ida, where a woman was killed when her house was thrown down a hill. The tornado moved on and hit the small community of Fogfield, where silos were bent to the ground and houses sustained extraordinary roof damage. The tornado weakened and damaged a home on the Hurst/Rochester County line. The tornado rapidly weakened to low-end F0 strength and dissipated near the town of Bluegrass. |
