The Buddhaland presidential election of May 2017 was an event held on May 7, 2017. Primary elections took place on May 5, with two final candidates in the lead: Incumbent President, Benjamin Wray and Mayor of Turtle Bend, Kaitlyn Wray. It will also be the first where candidates represent a certain party. The two major parties to run were the Independent Republican Party and the Metallic Party.
