Albertapolis is a mid-sized city in south-central Minnesota. It is so named due to its geological location roughly halfway between the cities of Albert Lea and Minneapolis.
Albertapolis was founded in 2017. Its population grew rapidly due to its proximity to Interstate 35. In 2029, Interstate 35 between Albert Lea and Minneapolis was designated the Albertapolis Freeway.
The city suffered a great loss on May 5, 2036, when a massive tornado destroyed nearly 60 percent of the city. The city has since recovered.
