The 2017-18 Iquiq hurricane season is a current event that started on September 1, 2017 and last until April 30, 2018. The season has featured at least one storm.

A weak tropical depression formed near Lomé City, causing minor flooding on December 6. The tropical depression moved over warm waters, strengthening into a tropical storm. The storm was given the name Hanna. On December 7, the winds of the system began to reach southern Iquiq. The tropical storm strengthened into a hurricane with 75 mph winds on December 9, just as it neared landfall on Iquiq. On December 10, Hurricane Hanna made landfall and dissipated. It caused $55 million in damages and caused 2 fatalities.
